They are only teeny tiny for such a short amount of time. It's so important to capture those moments to look back on forever. I have been working with tiny babies through photography since 2013 and I have 5 boys of my own, so I am very comfortable and experienced with them. I have everything in studio for baby, so you don't need to bring anything for them, but of course I welcome anything you would like to bring to use for pictures. 

A newborn session on average takes about an hour and a half, however I do book it out with enough time that if baby needs to eat or is fussy, we don't need to feel pressured. Before your newborn session it is best to try to keep baby awake as much as possible. I know with newborn babies this can be difficult, but the sleepier the baby, the smoother the session will go. Try giving baby a bath, interacting with them, feeding them, ect. If you simply cannot keep baby awake don't stress yourself out though. 

If you will be doing the Newborn + Family option, and you have children that are toddlers, I highly recommend that you have a plan for someone to take them from the studio after their portion of the pictures are done. I always do family pictures first thing, so within the first half hour-45 minutes we are done with family. Toddlers tend to get very restless waiting for their baby to get their photos done and can make it more difficult to get that portion of the session done. If you have no one to take them, that is ok, but if you do have someone from my personal experience it makes things go much better. 

I like to see baby within the first 2 weeks, however if you haven't thought about Newborn photos until baby is already here I will still be able to do your photos if my availability allows, but I cannot guarantee the sleepy newborn baby squishy poses.

With your session you will receive at least 25 high resolution/edited images in a personalized online gallery where you can easily order professional quality prints, gifts, and wall art, as well as free download of your images for personal use. I always include a version of black and white of each image as well.
